Job Summary:
●Verifies patient information.
●Performs hospital patient account functions including, reconciling accounts, claims generation, and/or paper claims submission, claims denial and credit balance resolution.
●Reviews, monitors and resolves issues involving fee schedule/contractual allowances, and calculations required for hospital patient account management.
●Provides good explanations regarding statements and insurance coverage.
●Performs other duties as assigned.
●Ensures documentation meets current standards and policies.
Skills/Educational Requirements:
●Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
●Good Personal Skills
●Good understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, HMO's, PPO's, and private companies.
