The Foundation exists to support Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center in La Junta, Colorado and help strengthen the care, services, and resources that patients and families across the Arkansas Valley rely on every day. Through charitable giving, community support, and meaningful partnerships, we invest in the future of healthcare close to home.

What We Do

The Arkansas Valley Health Foundation supports the ongoing needs and future growth of Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center. Gifts to the Foundation help strengthen patient care, enhance services, and support opportunities that improve the healthcare experience for our community. As healthcare needs continue to evolve, the Foundation helps ensure local access to quality care remains strong for the people of the Arkansas Valley.

Who We Are

The Arkansas Valley Health Foundation is led by a dedicated Board of Directors made up of community leaders who care deeply about the future of local healthcare. Board members include Jim Rizzuto, Chairman; Jonathan Fox; Ronald Hogan; Dr. Thomas Jackson; Rob Pickering; Betty Velasquez; and Mark Winsor. Together, they help guide the Foundation’s efforts to support Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center and strengthen healthcare in the Arkansas Valley.

Supporting that work is Executive Director Christina Tozzie, who serves as the day-to-day face of the Foundation and works alongside the board to build outreach, strengthen community connections, and advance the Foundation’s impact.
